Eligibility Requirements
To apply for a Maryland Wear and Carry Permit, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Be a Maryland resident or have a legitimate business in the state
- Complete a 16-hour firearms training course from a qualified instructor
- Pass a live-fire qualification
- Not be prohibited from possessing a firearm under state or federal law
The 16-Hour Training Requirement
